Introduction / About Me

My name is Beth Philipp, and I’m currently living in Arizona, but am originally from Thief River Falls, Minnesota.  I am sixteen years old, and I live with my parents and my twin sister Sara.  I also have two brothers who live in Phoenix, Arizona with their families.  Since I was about 6 years old I have been riding horses.  I started showing horses in Western Pleasure and gaming events when I was about 8 years of age.  My main focus now is Barrel Racing, and some other gaming events.

I love photography, but since moving to Arizona (moved here in August 2007) I have not taken very many photos at all.  I don’t like living here and I just don’t have the drive.  I can’t seem to find anything that I think is beautiful to photograph.  So, until I get back into the swing of things, and start taking photos again, I’m going to be posting photos that I have taken in the past.  I would like to say Thank You to Shelley Paulson, an amazing photographer from Minnesota, for sharing this site on her blog.  I first ”met” Shelley on a horse website, when she contacted me about attending on of her photography seminars.  She is an amazing photographer and I hope one day she can photograph my wedding and my senior pictures. I love looking at her photos over and over, I hope one day I can be half the photographer she is. :)

Also, all of my photo’s are un-edited.  The only thing I ever do to them is re-size them.  I am not good with photo programs yet.  Even the color swap pictures and black and white is usually done on my camera, never in a program, so any photos I post are untouched and exactly the way that I took them.

I hope you check back often and please, comments are more than welcome, I want to become a better photographer and I need feedback and all the tips I can get!

Much Love,  Beth Philipp

Beth – I am a new friend of Shelley’s and I too love her work. Your pictures are great! I would love to ad you as a link to my blog. I love your ambition, keep up the amazing work. What camera do you shoot with that allowed you to keep the yellow center of the daisey, but all else was black and white?

    Great work!
